Our Mission
In response to God’s grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit the mission of Eritrean Lutheran Ministry is to proclaim the Gospel and build up the Church among local Eritrean languages-speaking people worldwide.
What we do
- Supports local Eritrean languages-speaking ministries globally.
- Provides in-person ministry within the context of local congregations.
- Offers virtual resources for individuals and congregations.
- Offers advisory and consulting services for Eritrean congregations and individuals.
- Is a hub where numerous Eritrean language-speaking ministries intersect, connect, and support each other.
- Provides pastoral services and is available to assist in times of joy and sorrow - weddings, baptisms, funerals, etc.

The ELM is led by Pastor Kbrab Issak - an ordained minister of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. He is accountable to a Leadership council , who oversee all aspects of the ministry and donations.

Our History
The ELM was established in 2017 by Pastor Kbrab Issak who had a vision to reach out to Eritreans with the Gospel in their own language. By providing, guidance, teaching videos and in person instruction, Pastor Kbrab has seen Eritrean languages speaking Christians find comfort and hope. The ELM teaching videos are shared via various on-line platforms and have helped Eritrean speakers hear the Gospel, be encouraged spiritually, grow in their faith and connect with other Christians around the world.
Our Purpose
ELM is also committed to engaging the minds and hearts of believers and unreached people wherever they are. We hope to bring more light to the world for the glory of God and the edification of the Church.
